I tried the code on the Samsung U600, as I want to get rid of the GPRS ‘G’ on top of my screen, but it does not seem to stay in the menu long enough for me to actually go and choose the option? Am I doing something completely wrong? Thx

this happens on all phones, I don’t think there is a fix

This code also works in my samsung G600. And the Blue G in the screen disappears, but when I restart my phone it returns again.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

Draining the battery is used to prevent what’s called the memory effect for NiCAD batteries. Lithium Ion batteries do not suffer from memory effect and in fact, draining a LiIon battery can harm the battery.

So at all cost, do not ever drain your Lithium Ion battery.
