Hi ! Steven, H7 fan
I have H9, and true to Sony they do tend to make things difficult and expensive accesory-wise, but as the Sony's have a nice large flange around the lens you can buy a 52mm UV or indeed any colour filter and attach it with a few blobs of well softened Blu or White Tak, do this gently but firmly with the camera TURNED OFF, if you want to attach a polariser you will have to leave the UV on the flange. I use this method, it works and is a lot cheaper than Sony accesories.

Hi there, I have a PIC 16F877 from Microchip and I'm required to come up with a portable device that measures heart rate. Do you think you can help?

yup Steven, that's right, you need to keep that adapter ring, but that wont be a problem in my case, because i do not plan on adding accessories on the camera. The quality is fine as is.

I have the a Sony DSC H7 and could not agree more. Great camera - good for kids, can take many shots in a row (without flash) so as long as they are not moving out of focus it will help you get the smile. The H7 is decent at low light.

The only annoyance is if you want a clear filter to protect the lense, i believe you need to keep an adapter on which makes it bulky - interested to hear of other solutions.

Otherwise it is great

Thx Anarion, I really think it was a good choice according to my budget. And also, i didn't wanted to go into the SLR segment because currently i don't have that much experience with photography and to buy a SLR just to use it on automatic mode it's a bit crazy
