MagicMouse, a three-dimensional ultrasonic computer mouse designed by a team of five WPI undergraduates, is one of 10 inventions honored with the inaugural PopSci Invention Awards, the cover story in the June 2007 issue of Popular Science.
The MagicMouse is a true 3D mouse. Users can move the cursor about the screen simply by pointing and moving their index finger. Zooming is achieved by moving the hand nearer to or farther from the screen. Since both actions can be done simultaneously, the mouse makes it possible to work easily in three dimensions to pan and zoom through 3D maps, for example, or manipulate objects in computer-aided design (CAD) drawing packages. The mouse could also make game play more realistic and interactive, much as the novel 3D remote on the new Nintendo Wii game console has done. For more routine applications, like word processing and web surfing, the WPI students note that controlling a computer with hand gestures should make computer use more intuitive and less intimidating.
I have to say, this gadget is super cool, but on the other hand being such a new invention, it will take some time until it catches the wide public, but who knows maybe in a few years we all are gonna wear this mouse.

Since you liked my previous posts about Spy gadgets , im going to continue the series with this new gadget a Spy cam hidden inside a gum wrapper, pretty cool i say. I guess everyone needed at least once a gadget like this , to secretly record someone, to incriminate him about something or to blackmail him/her although you know this is illegally and i do not encourage you to do so. To be completely safe you can just aquire this gadget and play with it, but we all know thats not gonna happen .
Chinavasion presents us with this cool gadget that has the following features : a micro SD card slot for up to 2GB of memory, a hold switch for making sure the camera does not accidentally switch off, long audio and video recording range, along with 176×144 resolution digital clips in 3GP format. It also has a Li-Polymer battery so you can recharge it very easy trough the USB cable.

Jim Lee: “It looks pretty good, weighs practically nothing, and disassembles easily. This paint roller handle is actually adjustable. Just a twist of the handle and it extends up to 19 inches. The umbrella itself opens to about 19 inches in diameter. It is necessary to remove the headband and punch a hole in the very top for the handle. Otherwise, no modificatins to the umbrella are needed. As for the handle, remove the plastic roller holders, file off the little burrs that hold them on, and you are in business.”
My opinion : you can use it as fun project and discover some electronics, or you can use it as a spy-project which i don’t encourage because it could get you in trouble. Be careful how you use it, good luck building it!
Very original idea , and i think i don’t need to say any more how cool is this blu-ray laser which is much powerful than ordinary lasers. I like lasers, but i’m trying to keep costs low when building projects, and this one is a bit expensive, however if you like this you can try build it, i am sure it will be nice.
Yes I know, its one gadget that everyone will want to have, its like a new iphone concept, unfortunately this phone wont be available to soon on the store shelves because its only a concept. However, Gizmodo informs us that the Pen Phone concept will be developed by an anonymous manufacturer.
The phone uses Bluetooth ear buds for voice calls. It features a little display, the dialing numbers, a microSD card slot and seems to support USB connection. The project looks very promising and I bet they will hit some high numbers when they put this gadget on sale.
