I’m going to write a review for this motherboard because in my opinion is the best choice for an AMD socket 754 processor. Although the socket it’s become old and few people are buying it from stores it remains a reliable motherboard. I bought one 4 years ago and I have to tell you it made my life easier , 4 years of continuous usage with 0 problems , 0 bugs. From driver’s support to design is perfect. The UV design made this an interesting experience, the sockets and all the connecting cables are UV sensitive so I placed a UV neon inside the case (the case had window) that made the MB glow really nice.
The mb featured some Ez switches placed directly on the board for Power on and Reset, which is helpful when you are testing new components with the motherboard out of the case; 5 pci slots is more than enough for the home user, I only had an additional network card and a Tv tuner; the 8CH Audio (Dolby 7.1, 8ch supported) sounded really good on my Logitech 5.1 Z-5500.On the performance side DFI has built a solid reputation with the LANParty series designed for overclockers and gamers.

Anyone looking for top performance and the best overclocking capabilities should include DFI on they’re shopping list. I never tried to overclock my system it was enough for me with the default setup (Amd Athlon 64 3200+ 754 socket , LAN PARTY UT nF3 250Gb , 2 x 512 ram PC3200 and 120 gb Seagate Sata II hard disk).Next here’s a list of the motherboards features :

  • 8CH Audio (Dolby 7.1, 8ch supported)
  • Gigabit LAN (with nVIDIA Gigabit Ethernet)
  • nVIDIA RAID
  • nVIDIA Firewall (Embedded hardware firewall)
  • 100%Japanese Capacitors
  • Brand New Genie BIOS
  • EZ-on / EZ-touch on board power switch
  • UV sensitive slots

You can get full specifications list at LAN PARTY UT nF3 250Gb site. If I had to choose the best motherboard from the ones I’d seen and tested this is the one. On present day I use my system listed above as a personal server where I test Debian Linux scripts and software packages.
