Has anyone measure the voltage of serial Tx (FT232R pin 1)and serial Rx (FT232R pin 5)??
Is it +/-5 or +/-12 Volts??
I ask because some adapters dont meet EIA/RS232 standards.

33 ohm yes, and yes it requiers software drivers you can download them from chip manufacturers website
